BD4’s are proud to report our Dyno Testing Centre is now complete and one of the best rooms in the Country.


It is sound insulated and has massive air flow (6 changes to the whole room per minute).  So your car will never run hot on our dyno.  Plus, unlike a lot of other rooms, our room is “positive pressure” rather than “negative pressure”.  Meaning, air is forced into the room and get forced out the air outlets instead of sucked out of the room.  The benefit of that is it simulates the real road condition when the vehicle is traveling on the road.  This close simulation will result in a much better tune to your vehicle, especially for high horse power cars.


We have an American made Dynojet 248C dynamometer.  This is also known as “rolling road” as it simulates real road conditions like no other.  It is an inertia type dyno which measures how fast your vehicle spins up the massive rollers on the dyno.  These rollers weigh 1.5 tonnes and are 48 inches in diameter.  By using the simple formula Force=mass (constant rollers mass) x acceleration, the power output (Force) of your vehicle is accurately calculated by measuring the acceleration of the rollers and then simply multiplied by the constant mass of the rollers.


Our dyno software had also been upgraded to the latest Winpep 7 which is Windows based with air/fuel ratio and analogue inputs such as boost, air and water temps, etc.  To make this software superior, power output is calculated with real time air temperature, humidity and barometric pressure which are all automatically sampled once every second.  That is what makes the Dynojet the most accurate dyno in the world.  Visit www.dynojet.com for more information.
